Royal Port Antiques: Throwing our Hats into the Ring of the Industrial Market!

The market for Industrial Antiques is hot right now. The many items salvaged from old factories and manufacturing plants in our cities maintain a strong, rugged feeling that takes us back to the beginning days of Industrialization in this Country.  Mike and I have been moving more and more into this area of the market.  We continue to find great Early American and Architectural inventory but we also love how the Industrial items fit right into our family of inventory at the Royal Port.   Many homes, restaurants and retail establishments are utilizing the industrial antiques as tables, counters, storage, racking, shelving and decoration.   We recently acquired a large stock of carts and printing and binding materials from a early Philadelphia Print Shop.  Many of the items are in the July album, but many more will be added soon.  We welcome you to stop by to see our ongoing upstairs transition to architectural and industrial antiques.  We are loving our new second story look!  See you soon.  Suzanne

A Few Highlights in July!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Independence Week/Weekend!  We have been adding some new things throughout the shop and out back of the shop.  This step-back cupboard was a perfect addition for displaying our smalls inventory.  The treenware, stoneware and several Wallace Nuttings make a nice statement.  The 2 piece cupboard has 2 over 2 paneled doors.   We also added several architectural panels, shutters, windows and doors.  Look on the July New Inventory Album for more photos.  The Folding plant stand and duck boxes are a new addition as well.   As always please feel free to stop by the shop with your architectural needs.  Tape measures are always on standby.  Bring your measurements and take your time selecting just the right pieces for your restoration projects.  We recently grouped many of our doors by their styles.  We have more board and batten doors than usual.  We have many paneled doors as well.  In some cases they are grouped by the property they were salvaged from.  So if you are traveling in our area, stop by.  Lemonade and iced tea are always ready.  Have a great July!  Suzanne
