Kimberton Antique Show this Weekend! Take a Peak at our Booth!

Many times I will mention to customers that Mike and I are headed to set up at a show.  They say to me what does that mean?  What do you take?  Well here is a good example of one of Royal Port's Show Booths. We are doing the Kimberton, PA Antiques Show this Saturday and Sunday.  Our booth is full of many of our favorite picks from the shop.  It includes a lot of new inventory too.   We try to give our space the same feel as the shop.  It's a challenge.   I drive Mike nuts the week before a show trying to figure out a booth layout and what to pack.   We always have a sketch and photos of all the pieces set up before we pack.  The other dealers make fun of my photos but I think we had the record for the quickest set up today! Mike threw me a monkey wrench when he packed the industrial cart at the last minute but I had a fun time doing this display!  If you are in the area stop by the show.  I will be there tomorrow and Mike will hold down the fort on Sunday.  We will also be at the shop which is packed with great stuff!  See you this weekend.  Suzanne

Industrial, Architectural & Early American Mix It Up In November's Album!

The start of this month has us "playing catchup" to get in some of the unusual and interesting architectural items as well as some fun industrial pieces that we have been acquiring.  I will be adding more photos throughout the month to the November Album.  Take a peak.  Mike & I will be showing at the Kimberton Antiques Show next Saturday and Sunday, November 17th & 18th and then getting the shop ready for the Salem Yuletide Tour of Homes on December 1st.  The tickets and booklets arrived today for the Yuletide Tour.  It's going to be a beautiful tour.  There are 13 private homes and 21 total sites.  It's a great time to visit the shop for gifts.  Remember we always offer layaway.  Suzanne

Customer Creations is Back! Ken & Denise's Shelf!

Sorry it has been so long since our last Customer Creation's Post.  I know that our readers enjoy them.  Ken & Denise always buy some of my favorite things and display them creatively in their home.  I think I just finished displaying miniature salt bags in this crate when the Leverings stopped by.  I joked with them that I didn't get a chance to enjoy it.  (When I have fun decorating a piece in the shop I like to enjoy it for a little bit.)  Luckily I took a photo before it sold.   I love what Ken & Denise have done with the divided crate by hanging it and using it for their collection of miniature ironstone pitchers.  The black background really makes their collection stand out.  A nice display piece for not a lot of money.  Thanks Ken & Denise for the photo.  Suzanne
