Christmas House Tour Salem, New Jersey

(Sorry I'm just finishing this post today.) It's the day before Thanksgiving and I thought while everyone is seated around the dinner table discussing plans for the season, thoughts of house tours might be running through your minds.  For those looking for a great one, look no more.  Salem Main Street's 21st Annual Yuletide Tour of Salem, NJ is December 6th from 1-6pm.    There are 12 private homes as well as many of the historic churches and sites throughout Salem.  Two old fashioned trolleys will be available to ticket holders to escort them to the various sites.  The sounds of the season will be heard, crafters will be displaying their creations and food will be available.  Antiques, Fine Art, Crafts and Collectibles Shops will be open throughout the tour.  I think it is one of the nicest tours in our area.  Monday night we hosted the party for the homeowners and Yuletide Tour Committee Members.  It was a really nice evening.  Of course our little guy was there to meet and greet, although he acted a bit shy that night.  I added some photos of our calm homeowners enjoying a bite to eat.   Next week they will be busy getting their homes prepared for all to enjoy.  If you need tickets give us a call 856-339-0400 or email.  They are $10.00 each or ask about the group rate.  Hope you can make it.   We will be busy this week decking out the shop for the season.   Suzanne

 

Drysinks as Changing Tables!!!

Several parents to be have been in the shop looking for something different to use for a changing table.  Eric and Michelle have been top on our list.  March is fast approaching!!!!!   Drysinks have always been a popular choice.   I promised some of you that I would blog to keep you up to date as new drysinks were added to our inventory.  I took a few shots of the latest ones to come into the shop.  They are very simple in style and vary in size. The one without the drawers has a nice deep gallery around 3 sides.  The other one is nice with the 2 drawers.  If anyone needs additonal photos or measurements just email me [email protected]   I'll add others as we get them.   Happy Hunting.  Suzanne

Peek at the Kimberton Show!

Today I'm catching up on my blogs.   We had a nice time at the Kimberton Show.  I was really happy with how our booth turned out.  It's tricky to pack for a show. I never know what to bring.   I tell Mike that we have 12,000 square feet of merchandise and I can't figure out what to pack for the show.  I took some photos for those of you that missed the show.  There was a great mixture of quality merchandise in both buildings.  There was a steady flow of people through the show both days.  We sold mostly smalls. (quilt, yellow ware, chairs, architectural etc.)  We sold two of the cupboards the week we got home.  The step back cupboard in the back of the booth was such a great piece.   It was a keeper.   Our friend Michael snatched that up for his house on Saturday.  Knowing him, I'm sure it is all decorated and ready for the cover of Country Living or Country Home Magazine.  At least I know where it is.  I like knowing where my favorite pieces are living after they leave the shop.     See you soon.  Suzanne                         

Antiques at Kimberton Show.........

We are at our final show of the year. 
This year we did ten shows.  Two of the tens shows we do are in Kimberton, PA.  Antiques at Kimberton is one of our favorite shows.  We do their March and November shows.  It's only an hour from our shop.  Easy commute for anyone going to the show.  It is located at the Kimberton Fire Co., 2 miles south of Phoenixville.  There's plenty of parking.  I included a scan of the ad card.  You can print it out for a $1.00 off admission.  Tell them you printed from our blog.  They have a fun competition between the dealers.  Whoever has the most ad cards handed in gets a gift certificate.   We gave tons of cards out the past few months.  Wish us luck.  Mike and I have been preparing a list of things to bring to the show.  It's hard choosing what to bring but we always bring the fun, the cool and the unusual.  The show offers a lot of nice inventory from 70 dealers.  It's a nice country show.  Colleen Allison, from Fresh Vintage Style will be doing the show for the first time with her Sister.  Colleen got us hooked on blogging.  They have the coolest vintage finds.   So mark your calendars for the show.  We'll see you there.  Suzanne
